Socota Phoenicia sets the highest standards of environmental design in Mauritius under the Breeam guidelines. The existing facades are opened to provide natural light and ventilation. Automatic vertical louver panels shade the interiors and therefore reduce the need for mechanical ventilation.

The large factory roof, converted into an artificial green roof garden will insulate the building and promote the efficient management of natural resources. Equipped with photovoltaic panels and rainwater collection systems, the site will maximise the use of renewable energy
